Your Inner Light

Sometimes our light goes out but is blown into flame by an encounter with another human being. Each of us owes the deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this inner light.

-Albert Schweitzer

I like that quote sooo much! Almost like that "When God closes a door he opens a window" idea! I know there have been many people who have either rekindled on a particular day or time in my life my light & at least I hope I have theirs! Oh & then Jim Morrison had "Light My Fire" but I think that meant something else! ;-)

I think that is what life is all about! The light can a single area of your life or more wholistically. Those hills & valleys of life. The Roller Coaster of Life! I talked about in previous entries, the kind of smile where every cell in your body is smiling...that is inner light!

It is difficult to shine if you are in an environment where the majority of people are trying to blow your light out or maybe steal your light to make theirs brighter? Hmmm I think that might happen from some. You know how some people just hate when you are happy?!

It is all about energy! I believe everything has energy. Ok, all you have to do is look at kids! I think they suck it out of us! Ha! Maybe we willingly give it with love? Hmm. They also give us energy! I know my nieces do! You know there have been times I'm stopped at a red light in line & my vehicle stops about half way in comparison to the one next to me. Many times there are kids in the back seat looking so bored! I love putting holiday cling-ons on my windows! It is a bit of fun for them! I don't care if people think I'm goofy...actually I like Pluto! And when they smile I do. I'll even wave, smile etc. to see them smile man! And it is like our private secret! :-) This just leads to so much more energy for me...that smile starts & then I'm a goner! My face hurts from smiling. There have been a few times a dad has noticed & then looked over & smiled at me...hey...no stealing...not "your" smile! Ha!

Ok, so everyone go & make someone else's light burn a bit brighter today & help a kid smile!
