The Futtermans Live?!
Ok, Gremlins 2 is on & quite frankly I don't remember this one very much. I do watch the original whenever it comes on...ha! Love that "flasher" gremlin! Now I have a question! I thought the Futtermans died in the first one but they are in the 2nd one! All it says is the sherrif states a "freak accident" but...I don't know just like soaps I guess they can come back sometimes even after you see a dead body even ha!
I can't believe some of my students have no idea when I say "Gremlins" in the computer. Boy are they deprived! HA! You know I think I had a stuffed Gremlin? Where did that go? Do they still have them out to buy? Gotta get one for my car! :-)

Dr. Z's Happy!
Well, I got a soft cast today. Looks like above, few layers of cast material & then ace bandage. Dr. Z. said he was surprised that it was not as bad as he imagined but I did a pretty good job, managing to upset 4 ligaments so far! Ugh! At least no big cast or the walking boot. :-) It is hurting more now because it is making me walk "the right way" rather than how it wants to go, which was weak & leaning toward the right & not really supporting me. Problem was I was at a different location than their main place & I had to go downstairs for x-rays. They took an hour to check in 2 people before me & the woman got all sarcastic with me. I'm making a phone call on her tomorrow! By that time they got me in & realized the soft cast is casting a shadow, Dr Z. said just wait a week & come in & get it x-rayed & then he will check it. Originally it was going to be 2 weeks but I think he is happier actually. I don't really think anything is broken anyway & I'm just thrilled he is not thinking MRI. We'll see.
I thought you might find this interesting...he said to take my foot bath & put water & ice in it & use a thermometer to get the temp to 45-50 degrees. Then I have to put my cast saver on & soak my foot. He said they found out colder or warmer than this just doesn't do the trick. Hmmm.
Well, I'm really exhausted & my foot is hurting so I think I'll just go to bed & get some sleep & rest the foot. I'm only going to PT on Thurs so that helps & not sure about tomorrow yet...depends on the weather. I was planning on taking my little niece to see the Rockettes but she is not feeling well the last few days & I heard on the radio rain/snow so???? Goofy week...feel like my schedule is moment to moment changing. Oh well....
Sweet Dreams!

God is Soooo Twisted!
God is such a Twisted %$#@ or $%# HA! I say that with laughter! HA! I'm sitting at the computer typing up my report to HR on my foot & the movie I was watching ends & I just leave the tv on behind me. All of a sudden I hear this music that is getting me to jam in my chair...then I hear some thumping...I look back & what do I see??? UGH! Mumble & his HAPPY FEET! UGH! RIGHT! God has a very twisted sense of humor! Reminds me of the Depeche Mode song Blasphemous Rumours' refrain
"I don't want to start any blasphemous rumours
But I think that God's got a sick sense of humor
And when I die I expect to find Him laughing"
Where is my Guardian Angel? I want a few words with him! I know, I know, he'll probably tell me he did protect me, that he prevented my skull from cracking or something...ugh! So I'll have to tell Dr. Z. this...he'll get a real kick out of this I'm sure the little shit! HA! He is a few years younger than I am.
This is the scene that was on! HA!
Now look at this cute pic I found (below) I think I'll show that to Dr. Z or do that sometime for him to give him a laugh! Well, maybe I'm getting the hang of this finally, if you don't want to cry you have to laugh. What about crying & laughing that the same time...have to work my way up! HA!
Bubble Wrap on Order
Well, I faxed over my report to Dr. Z on what happened when I fell & went boom on Wed as the nurse asked. I told him it was soooo much better on since Friday & bothered me a bit in class today but not horrible at all. Try my best to make him not worry but he wants me to come in & said already he would like to immobilize it. I was like it is ok I swear...just needs some rest...he said this kind of injury if you don't immobolize it right away you lose flexibility later...UGH!!!!!! I asked him, "Should I ask how you are going to immobolize it?" and he said "Probably not!" UGH!!!!!!!!! (was that more exclamation marks?) I swear the guy just sees me as a gold mind! Ha! Or he just loves torturing me - I think I'll go with that one! What guy would not like his chance to torture me! HA! Heck, my PT is masochistic I think! HA!
So I have to call tomorrow morning & try to get in tomorrow or Fri. I told him those were the only 2 days & he didn't say anything...I have a feeling he will just tell them to put me in tomorrow whenever. I'll certainly let you know. Maybe just a small soft cast thing he has done on my left foot before. It is swelling a bit later tonight from today but I'm going to lay down with some STEM & ice in just a bit! I did shop with it a bit yesterday and it didn't get really worse so...Ugh. I think God just does this to keep me from shopping! HA! We'll see...I'll let you know when I know more.

Ready, Set...
Bummer...my graphic isn't working even though I saved as a gif? Any ideas?
Hi! Got this from Winivere...want to play along? You save the picture & place on your journal & then link back to mine. Then add your link here!
We missed the snow we were suppose to get Thurs. They are predicting now for next weekend but we'll see by the time it gets here.

Holiday Show Season
Ya, the holiday shows are starting...here is the schedule! Got to watch Miracle on 34th street Thurs & yesterday. Both versions were on & the original is on Demand FREE! Now White Christmas is on! :-) I know I'm pathetic but I love watching all the old shows I grew up watching with my mom & grandma. Some warm jammies & sleepers, hot chocolate & hmmm be great with my warm baby but he is working tonight! Ugh!
My ankle seems to be much better since yesterday! I'm sooo thrilled. I was really pretty worried the way it was. It is still sore & weak so I'll have to watch it. My shoulder & back is not great but I'm trying to work through it cleaning & decorating. Going my own pace today & not pressuring anything.
Tomorrow I am going to the eye doctor...UGH! Since about hmm 2 weeks ago I have noticed I'm having some trouble with reading up close. Seems like my eyes want to cross & muscles hurt...don't know if it is just the stigmatism or if my age is slapping me in the face! I don't know seem ok now with my glasses on...I have them for far vision? Maybe it was just too tiny of print? We'll see, I'll let her check my eyes out & let me know. I guess I shouldn't complain, I've been lucky until now. I just hate the idea of another sign of getting old. *Sigh!* I'm heading up north & will run a few errands along with my eye exam tomorrow.
I've noticed a lot of people got their lights up this weekend. I think I'll ask my baby to take me on a date next week to just ride around & see the lights. That is the perfect date to me! ;-) Maybe some hot chocolate? YUM! I still have to get my pots in from my deck! I know, I kept trying all last week but just too busy. Maybe tomorrow before I head up north. Well, I better go do a few more things before I collapse for the night. Enjoy so holiday shows!

Ouchie!
Not too much time but I just wanted to come on & say I have a Big Ouchie...good thing I had the funnies for stress relief yesterday. I was leaving work & right at my car, one more step & I would have be at the door & my right ankle twisted under me & down I went! Ugh! My left knee got cut up a bit & my ankle is not too good. I was trying to get to the train to go to PT! I got up & stepped on my foot & I could walk on it sorta ok so I got in the car & figured my PT person can take a look at it. We did my exercises avoing it & she did the stem (4 pads) on my foot/ankle with ice & then 4 on my upperback with heat. Odd thing is I could not feel the stem at all on my foot & she was really kinda surprised. She apparently had it up real high! Ugh! Of course I had to walk to & from the train & drive back..yep right foot! Ugh! Now I have to finish packing & head up North to my folks place. My sis & I are going to have our own little Thanksgiving. I have to go shopping at Meyers tonight yet...ugh...and I think I can still refuse to use one of those electronic carts! I just can't do that yet! I'll ice it & put it up when I boil the sweet potatoes or something. I can relax it tomorrrow. I hope it doesn't prevent me from shopping Fri? 2 weeks left of the term & this...well it still isn't real bad so count my blessings and pray it gets a lot better over the weekend! I just don't want to have to go explain this to Dr. Z! He'll just shake his head at me & mom will be sending me more bubble wrap! Ugh!

Early Turkey Day Stress Relief!
Well I needed this myself! Its that time of the year when one predictably starts to hear the chanting of "Its not fair!!!" From kids...nope! College Students! Ugh! Yep, put it in the syllabus, have a calendar, instructions what else...but still not fair! Ugh! 2 more weeks, just 2 more weeks! HA! Then of course the holiday break is filled with "family" ha! Well, you just never know how that will go each year! HA! After classes tomorrow I have PT so I'll get back about 8pm then have to pack up & head up north & do some shopping...God I hope I can get up to watch the parades & Miracle on 34th Street etc...I guess I can nap in the afternoon! HA!
Well, first here is a link to the Adam Sandler Turkey Song. Youtube is doing a good job taking it off their site so best I could do. I prefer the one where he is performing live & tells the audience he loves them & to stop clapping etc but this will do.
Next, for those of you who are old enough to remember WKRP in Cincinnati you'll love these! :-) I'll try to post again ASAP but it will get a bit hectic starting tomorrow. After the Turkey Sleep drug wears off I'll try to come back! HA!

Cops...Gotta Love Em
Ok, I forgot to post this when I mentioned going with my niece to try to see the Rockettes up north at a HUGE mall! We are coming back on a major expressway and we come up to a line of 4 (maybe 6?) buses. These are chartered buses with darkened windows & I can see some guys in the seats but that is all I can tell. Now at the beginning, end & in between the buses are Indiana cops! Each car a different type, state, county & some city ones...all different colors. Ok, so my niece & I are trying to figure out who is in the buses, especially since this is her home state. She is waving to the officers like they are her friends! HA! Well, you know kids! I call my oldest of my two brothers to see if he might know...he says that Indiana was playing Northwestern so maybe it is them returning home. Ok! Well I manage to pass them until we get to the tollbooth & almost all go through the I-Pass but no...I haven't gotten one yet. So then I'm back cruising & catching up to them again. I pass a few in the middle lane & then get exactly 1/2 way alongside one & this bus decides he is going to go in front of me. Now mind you I'm still making progress! The buses have their hazards on so even if the goofy bus driver signaled you'd never know & he should have looked in his side-view mirror & waited for me to pass! Not to mention make sure no one is behind me that is going to hit me if I have to stop fast to let him in front of me. Now was there any reason he had to get in my lane? NO! The other buses were in the right lane...no other reason! I hit my brakes in disbelief & tell my niece NEVER to drive like the bus driver & teach her why...well she has 5 1/2 years...never too early in my opinion considering how 16 yr old drivers are! HA!
Ok, so then you'd think the cop behind him just might have an issue with the bus driver's lane movement skills...NOPE...he speeds up & gets between the two of us! I was FURIOUS! Didn't they ever get the mother lecture on "If your friend jumped off a bridge..." Well that was it! I had to teach my niece...I grab my cell phone & find my state cops in my addressbook...yep unfortunately I've had to use it too many times that they are in there! Well, not only if I needed help but I call for others! I don't care if they recognize my number when I call...they are here to "serve & protect me" and that they will do for the money I pay them. Actually, I really wouldn't mind if they "served & protected me" in person...did I say that outloud! HA! Well, there was a brown van one night HORIZONTAL across the lanes with no lights when I was heading home on a major highway ETC...I need it trust me! Ok, so I called our state cops on the Indiana state cops & these buses! HA! I don't care! They are going to hurt someone if not themselves! I may even write a letter or email the Indiana state cops tomorrow on this. Just crazy! Go back to your own state & drive crazy...we have enough of our own crazy drivers...we don't need anymore! HA!

Garth Concert
Hi Everyone!
I just got back from seeing the Garth Brooks Concert in our local theater. My baby Chris took me! :-) He had been to a Garth Brooks concert but I never have & if I could not be in Kansas City this was the next best thing! I had soooo much fun. It was a bit different obviously but in some ways great too because you could see him much better.
I was told his concert was to go to 11:15pm but we left about 9:40. It started at 8pm. He didn't do all the songs I would have liked, like Standing Inside the Fire, but I cried during The Dance....well I couldn't help it! HA!
And I loved when he said "If you wait for me, I promise I'LL BE BACK" YES! Maybe I can actually see him in concert one day! He is so hot! I love him! He is so sweet & tender and yet the bad boy wild side! Ha! I know, I know I'm not thrilled about the cheating thing but I am for the figuring out if you are not happy and find out what your heart really needs and wants & getting it. Not good for either party to be unhappy & not getting everything their heart deserves. You only have 1 life you know. It isn't fair to the other person either. My folks will be married 45 yrs next July & they are still madly in love. They want to die together & be burried together...now that is what it should be about! I do believe in the committment and promises but I think when the other person doesn't hold up their promise then it is not suppose to be that you suffer and that is very different than the sickness & health etc where you are going through it as love partners because you believe in each other! People do change and sometimes you can go with them and help them but just like an alcoholic or whatever has to admit and want to change for the better this is true of anything in life. Sometimes the other person just doesn't get what love is about & relationships can't always be repaired. It also does take two and usually not just one person...sometimes but usually not. Anyways...I guess I'm saying I'm just thrilled he is happy & life is sooo much better for everyone now. I'm thrilled he is really on a great part of his path of life & still giving of his God given gifts to us.
The concert was great in that he really seemed to be out their helping us party or enjoy. The crowd was almost louder than him sometimes singing & he let them sing a lot & just "helped them" so to speak. He still was GB at times and his little ego, which is always good for everyone at times, but he also just humbly let us enjoy his music and served rather than partook himself at times. He wasn't as wild, flying or smashing guitars, but that can be later. Tricia didn't come out but I read on the website she was having vocal problems earlier in the week. He sold out all 9 shows & had something like 159,775 people total. That is just awesome. Then at $10 a person in the theaters around the world...good chunk of change I'd say! HA!
I'm just thrilled I got to go since I had a migraine today...my classroom was 83 degrees...we blew something with the air conditioners again. My office was 71 but...so it went away after taking my meds & 1/2 hr nap. Got to wear my cowboy boots, ok with orthotics (sign of getting old! HA!) but they are not hurting my foot so that is great! It was freezing though with the wind. 57 degrees. YIPES! Going to be colder tomorrow and I have to go downtown...ugh.
Oh check your local theaters...tomorrow they have an encore performance! I don't know why there was no advertising? No poster up etc. I just found out on his website about a month ago but you'd think they would have advertised? Not sure why?

With Age Comes Revenge!
This one reminded me of the Pixar short movie Geri's Game...did you see this one? (Below Joke!)
A tour bus driver is driving with a bus load of seniors down a highway when he is tapped on his shoulder by a little old lady sitting behind him. She offers him a handful of peanuts, Which he gratefully munches up. After about 15 minutes, she taps him on his shoulder again and she hands him another handful of peanuts. She repeats this gesture about five more times. When she is about to hand him another batch again he asks the little old lady, why don't you eat the peanuts yourself? "My friends and I can't chew them because we've no teeth", she replied. The puzzled driver asks, "well why do you buy them then?" The old lady replied,? "Well because we just love the chocolate that's around them."
It pays to be careful around old people.
What fun...revenge can be so SWEET...oops...sorry about that! HA!
Maxine is Temporarly Insane
Looking up toward heaven, she said, "Lord, take pity on me. If you find me a parking place I'll go to church every Sunday for the rest of my life and give up sex and tequila."
Miraculouly, a parking place appeard.
She looked up again and said, "Never mind. I found one!"
Boy do I just love this one! HA! I'm thinking she lost her mind when she was willing to give that up! HA! Now the church thing...well if she is still able to handle the liquor and have great sex at her age then she should be going to church for 1 hour a week & thanking God! HA!

Thanksgiving Recipes & Traditions
Hi Everyone!
As I finish stir frying my dinner (YUM...I love stir fry!) I thought I would share with you a link with Holiday Recipes I got from Whole Foods! I just might try some! I know it is late eating but I had to start my Probiotics on an empty stomach & I don't go to bed until 1 or 2am so...most of the time that is.
Here are some more!
Now what is your favorite Thanksgiving food item???
I think mine would have to be my mother's stuffing...well actually technically it may be my grandmothers...ha! It is a bread stuffing - no box stuff in our family! In fact, we really didn't grow up with boxed stuffing, mash potatoes or hamburger helper or anything like that. Mom cooked most of the time. We occasionally had pizza or a few other take homes that existed then. Of course we were lucky to have a mom who didn't have to work. When I was a sophmore in high school she decided to open a computer software store with my aunt but that wasn't because she had to. This was before all the Egghead & Babbages, much less Circuit City & Best Buys were out. Oh & there was a Silo...anyone remember them. There were no stores like that in the whole area so they set up shop & let you open up the software & try them out in the store before you bought it. Nice huh! This is why I had a computer all 4 yrs in college! :-) Was great to do papers & take notes on. Now I'm talking the early 80s (God did that sound horrible!) when it was Apple IIe etc! HA! I made some extra money typing papers for others also! :-)
Well, back to food, family & tradition...I really miss my parents on Thanksgiving now. It just aches deep inside me. My folks retired 2 yrs ago. My tradition was watching my folks the night before preparing "The Bird" and figuring it out AGAIN how much time it will take & when they have to get up. They are soooo fun to watch. Then Iwould help with pulling bread into pieces for stuffing & my mom saying "That is enough" and me saying "No way, the boys will eat this alone!" HA! Then Thanksgiving morning waking up from the smell of turkey cooking, watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, watching Miracle on 34th Street (the original) and later Its A Wonderful Life etc. Some years relatives coming over and always planning on getting up early to go shopping on Fri morning & then never being able to wake up..ha!
The first year my folks took us out to dinner & I just hated it. Don't get me wrong...I know the meaning is just to be together & to be thankful for that you have a loving family & that we can even afford food ETC...I just mean the tradition I love was missing. No turkey smell, no parents bantering, no making stuffing etc.Last year was the first year they were at their winter home in AZ. My brothers scattered to friends & girlfriends...I think they were dying for that! HA! My sis was pissed at me at the time! We really don't get along except when we get along great! HA! We are soooo very different than each other, so it is really hard sometimes...don't get me wrong, I love her to death! Don't anyone touch her or you will answer to me!
So I think I posted an entry last year with some pix...I went downtown to the parade...well it was really warm & I thought of all years and why be down...take the opportunity to do something different and fun. I felt like life was controlling me rather than the other way around...shhh no I have not realized yet that I don't control life...Ha!...so I decided to have fun & watch the parade & go enjoy the spirit of the holidays through being in the middle of other people. I had dinner downtown (Chicago) also which was nice.
It was kinda like when I was in college and worked at the guys dorm...get your mind out of the gutter...actually mine is usually there so take me out with you ha!...ok, so what the heck am I talking about??? Well, I worked at the guys dorm desk. Once a month, unless you took someone else's shift, you would have to work on the weekend. Normally you'd think that would suck because you couldn't go out & have fun with your friends. Well true, BUT...if you went out with your friends you only knew what was going on within your circles, if you worked the desk you heard about what went on all over campus as everyone got back home & told you. HA! So last year I observed other people's holiday celebration, seeing it through the eyes of others, especially kids really can spark your spirit even more. I was quite glad I embraced the change.
Now, this year??? I think I will be with my sister...plus there is a boyfriend in the equation..HA! His aunt & uncle have invited me already...the first day they met me??? I know my brothers are a goner...I think it is the girlfriend/wives etc that keep them in the family traditions...ha! What do you think? I don't know maybe it is just my brothers & there are some guys out there that love family traditions...no I'm not talking about watching the games & snoring on the couch etc! HA! It is very bizzare because I never would have guessed I would still be single & without a ton of kids starting my own family traditions, but I guess when I think about it, I never believe in getting married just because it is a thing to do at a certain age. And I would rather be single than have made a poor choice & be miserable in a bad marriage. So many people are & I just don't get it.
Well, I'll have to let you know later on what this year brings. Maybe I'll start a new tradition with a new recipe! :-) Let me know how yours is too!

Santa Yelled At Me!
Ok, I take my little niece to one of the big malls up north. We were suppose to see the Rockettes open up the Christmas Season but ONE of my brothers told me it would only take an hour to get there....WRONG! So we saw the Rockettes getting in the bus! Ugh! My little niece says, "That is ok" so sympathetically. I was more disappointed than she was. HA! Well, she saw their big show the last 2 yrs & knows we are going this year too. I still thought it would be fun. We did get a coupon for a discount for the show so that helps.
So I then take her to see Santa! :-) Yes, she still seems to believe but she did tell me she was going to tell Santa what she wanted but not me...ah ha...testing it a bit! HA! Well, I got the little elves to help me out there! ;-) There was no line so she didn't have to worry about how much time she spent with Santa. They were having a mighty big conversation! I hope she put in my list too. As she was on his lap, there was a camera crew and a woman asked if it was ok if they didn't edit her out if they could use it for local advertising. I said sure. We'll see if she makes the final cut. They took some pictures too. Not too many kids were going by Santa all day I noticed...hmmm. Well, she and Santa were taking a great deal of time & I didn't want her to be wearing out her welcome so I said, "Ready?" Santa turned to me & said "NO!" He was not happy! OMG! I pissed off Santa...I'm in soooooo much trouble now! My niece thought it was funny. I reminded her to tell Santa she left her mp3 player in her jeans pocket & washed it or the one she has at home. She told him yes but then proceeded to tell Santa that Grandpa (my dad) washed his cell phone that way too! HA! She told grandpa that last night on the computer video...ha!
I wore the Reindeer Ear crown hat they gave. HA! We met my sister & went to the Rainforest Cafe for lunch. My niece had never been there. We sat next to one of the Salt Water tanks & she kept watching the fish & pointing out Dory (Nemo!). We then shopped a bit. I need 2 new coats, a long one & a everyday one. No lie, my long hooded one is from 1987! Madigans..which no longer exists! HA! Well all the hooded ones these days are so damn thin. They just don't make things like they use to...yep I'm old! HA! It kept me mighty warm in graduate school in the windy city! No luck though! Ugh! That is the problem....it takes me a while to decide what I want & then when I do I can't find it. Then of course I love it so much that I keep it forever! HA! Actually, now that I think about it...this might explain relationships with me too! HA! Ugh!
Well, my niece actually was asking to go home...she was tired. HA! She also wanted to play with her friends. We ended up heading home & stopping to eat. My brother (yes the one who was off on the time!) met us with a girl he use to date 9 yrs ago! God help me! They are "just friends" Ah Ha! She is also 9 yrs younger than him with hair down to her butt! HA! I don't know...I think he just fell in love back then & that is it! Hmmm.
Then we went home & watched Ratatoulie, which I bought my niece for Halloween instead of adding to the candy pile. Today we headed to IHOP & I had some pumpkin pancakes. Not too bad. Oh speaking of pumpkin...ha...this same brother...man he is not looking all that great right now but....he buys a pumpkin pie last night. He is defrosting it. Then he reads that it is not cooked! Ugh! It takes 1 hr to cook. Then my niece lets it cool a bit but tries to cut me a piece...mushy. Then he reads it has to cool for 2 hours! HA! It is a gene in our family for the males!!!! They read directions after the fact! I teased him about it!
Well, after she headed to her daddy's for a little while, I went shopping to see what was in this year for Christmas decor. Not much sales but Michael's is out of stuff already Man! Last year I got a whole bunch of Elves on sale at the end of the year at Joann's. I'll take a picture but I got a sign, made a wreath with one & then a bunch for my bench. Now I'm all Elf happy & can't find any! Also, there are no Moose to be found! I love moose? Don't ask me why I just do...maybe the woods idea. I was also looking for the garland that had a bit of snow & pine cones...small bunches of greenry? Hard to explain but I can't find that either! Ugh! I got some these green garland shaped snowflakes with snow on them. Very cool. Going to hang them. I'll take pictures! I also found 2 presents for my sister tonight! YA! Snowman fondue & then a snowman condiment thing with lots of hats to fill. I'm all ready to decorate for Christmas but I want to do Thanksgiving first? Oh well, only a few weeks left.
Well, I guess I got a check mark from Santa so now I'll have to go do some good deed to balance it out. I'm going to get cleaning & decorating a bit now for a few hours & then grade & get ready for tomorrow. Nice 3 day weekend but still never enough time Ha!

No Hugging? What is Next?
School officials drive me nuts! Look at this video clip of a school that has banned Hugging...well public shows of affection is what they said! As the parents said, what is next High Fives, handshakes...geez I get the idea that they may not want kids mauling their girlfriends & grabbing a** in the hallway...dang they take all the fun out of H.S. but geez! And ya then they graduate & go nuts in college...this is why they then have Girls Gone Wild! HA! We need to be teaching them what are proper ways to express, the place & time etc. But still...give me a break, how many of you were under the bleachers at football games...HA! Hugging just does not make sense...but then there is hugging & then there is a full body rub! HA! And we know it doesn't take much for boys during adolescence...what torture! OH....what are they suppose to do for dances then? HA! No hugging so...good God it will be like Footloose! HA! I think these school officials have been without a hug for too long! We should be having them give hugs for Wellness! What will this lead to next? Ugh!
YA GARTH!
Garth's new Ultimate Hits came out & you can pick up a regular one (I do like the pix) or you can order it via The Komen Project in the pink cover where it cost $15 & $10 goes to the Komen organization! Ya Garth! Apparently, Trisha did the 3 day walk & he wanted to help out also! You can read the interview here.
Is anyone going to the telecast of this concert next week in a theater? I may! I'll let you know. I watched the first DVD of his concert set last week. My boyfriend has it. I keep putting that & the CD set on my Christmas list but Santa never brings it to me I tell ya...and it is really cheap now so... HA! And geez Santa I'm already listing to Christmas music & I just put on some jingle bell thick socks I got at K-Mart today so the cats are going nuts with me jingling all over the place! HA! :-)
Hey...I see the Poll button...ha...how pathetic I just see it now! I could have been having fun before! Ugh! Ok so lets see if I can make one on which CD you will purchase? Like I have a lot of readers? Ugh...well send them here on this great way to raise money for Breast Cancer & they can do the poll & maybe they'll return.

For the Love of Goldie!
I finished Goldie Hawn's Autobiography "The Lotus Grows in the Mud" on the way back home Monday on the train. It was really good. She amazed me on how great of a writer she is. She has a very detailed memory and describes the situations & feelings so wonderfully. Deb was mentioning Ruth Buzzi and I recalled how she was quite a fiesty woman on Laugh In with her purse...do you all remember her? Yep, I use to watch Laugh In at my grandparents house. Well, it made me think of Goldie & boy I found this great video of her on Time Zones! Do they have Laugh In on DVD sets yet? If not they should. I'll put that on my Christmas list. HA!

A Wonderful Day with my Niece!
Hi!
Well today I picked up my little niece & we went to see the Bee Movie! It was great! I had a lot of fun! She got Matthew Broderick's character in her Happy Meal too! HA!
Then I took her to see the New Production of Annie! It was great! I surprised her, she was sooo excited. Before the play they had a 30 min talk on the history of it. My niece new all the words to it & I have no clue how? I got her a bag, she didn't want the glitter t-shirt & of course a CD so she can sing. I was in tears watching her excitement throughout the show in the first row of the balcony, where she wanted to sit. It was 1/2 price tickets! :-) I think I also was a bit sentimental remembering my grandparents taking us kids when we were little. I guess the best thank you to them is to continue the tradition! :-) It is like them taking her since they are no longer here.
The girl who played Annie, Amanda Balon, was great! She has been acting since she was 2 yrs old! Wow! And the gentleman playing Daddy Warbucks was great too. He was a drama coach for a long time & finally got on Broadway himself.
A packed day but fun & now...back to work...ha...but I have Fri off & I keep forgetting! I never remember! Unfortunately, I think I will be overserving Veteran's Day but cleaning! Ha!

Only 1 extra hour???
Well, did you remember this weekend we change our clocks??? :-) Yipee! I could use the extra hour of sleep...especially since the night before last I only got 6 hours of sleep because I was getting quizzes ready & so I wanted to sleep in today & I woke up at 7:30! Ugh! So again another night of 6 hours! And I have a big work dinner tonight...yes...dress-up! HA! And I'm getting my baby to dress up! Wow!!! Well he is Mr. sports t-shirts sooo, but he cleans up very nicely! :-) I'm hoping telling him how sexy he looks will get him to do it more often! HA! I'm still surprised he didn't purposely get scheduled for work. He is still on call...there is a chance he will be saved! HA!
So, tonight nice filet dinner! :-) Maybe that is worth him dressing up! HA! Ah he probably knows I'll buy him a few beers too! :-) And wouldn't you know it I miss my hair apt yesterday. Wasn't on my calendar? Man! I really need to perk it up! Next Thurs now...don't let me forget! HA! I have it on my calendar now though.
I hope I do get to sleep better tonight, tomorrow I'm picking up my niece & taking her to see the Bee Movie & then in the evening I'm taking her to the Broadway Production of "Annie". I'm sooo excited for her to see it. I still remember my paternal grandfather & my step grandmother taking my siblings & I to see it downtown when we were kids. She loves singing & dancing so I think she will like it. It may also soften the blow that my cousin, who she has been madly in love with since she was about 2 yrs old, just got engaged! HA! I'm too chicken to tell her. I told him he would have to! HA! Maybe I'll call him so he can tell her! He is lucky he is out in CA!
My baby took me to our local preserve yesterday & we walked for over an hour, about 7 miles, looking at the fall colors, which I'll just say really have not peaked due to our unseasonably warm weather this year. Maybe next week. I picked up some HUGE leaves & I'm going to try to preserve them? Maybe frame them? I pointed out 2 deer too! :-) The squirrels were going nuts...ha! My goof was teasing me that one dropped his nut! Ugh...I said maybe it was a female! HA! Lots of Robins still sticking around. I had a great time. Hope we can do it again. See it takes very little to please me! HA!
Well, I better get in the shower & start running my errands. Have to go get my nails done, check on my outfit...I have the sparkly black 2 piece (pants) which has feathers on the wrists...I'm hoping I can wear it, if not I have to go shopping...ugh.
Hope you have an extra hour of sweet dreams! :-)
