Some Feminine Strength! ;-)

Well, I have a lot to post. I've been working on the computer all weekend, trying to chill as my doc wanted me to. Well, sort of...I was working on stuff for my students so not quite as relaxing as it could be but at least I wasn't thinking of what I all had to do & getting behind etc. My normal voice is coming back but this cold is still lingering and I'm really tired from the whole thing.

I did go to see "The Guardian" this afternoon with Kevin Kostner. I'll post on that later. I just thought a bit of Kevin would make me feel "all better now!"

Well,
Robin is not feeling too great & I left her a comment on a song that has been really making me strong lately. I've been blasting it in my SUV on the way to work for the past 2 weeks probably. It really raises your spirits & makes you strong! It is by Taylor Dayne. Do you remember her? "Tell it To My Heart", "Love Will Lead You Back" (I Love!), "Send Me A Lover" (Can't listen without Crying!)  If you go to Media on her website there is a media video you can watch to remind you of these songs!   AOL also has samples of each song here!

Well, there is just something about her spirit? My spirit just seems to have some kind of connection. Wynnona too. Must be the low growly devil spirit!  HA!  The song I have been playing lately is called "Stand" and I'm going to post the lyrice below for Robin & anyone else that may find it helpful! I love the whole "Naked Without You" CD! "Unstoppable" is great too. I really like"Whenever You Fall". It is quite a lovely thought about what Love is! I remember I was walking with a wonderful guy in a store one time just browsing & it was playing in the store. I was like Wow! It really made me wonder....

I just noticed she is suppose to be singing the National Anthem at the First Game of the World Series on Tues night! YES! That should be great!

Well, hope this helps Robin! The Strength is in you...just have to find it! Somedays it is hard for all of us!

(S. Saraco, H. Hey)

Stand
Stand
So I will stand with my head held high
Even though I'
m up against the wind
Stand
And I know I will survive
It is my destiny
Ah ah
With my head held high
I won't fall down
With my head held high
I won't surrender
I know I'm not the only one
To ever stand alone in the dark
Not knowing how I'm going to carry on
But sure I never will surrender
I know exactly who I am
And that theres a purpose and a plan
So I will stand
With my head held high
Even though I'm up against the wind
And I know I will survive
It is my destiny
All right
With my head held high
I won't fall down
With my head held high
I won't surrender
I believe that theres a higher love
Its give me the power
To find my way through the worst times
Turn them into my finest hour
And with this strength I will move on
No matter how hard I won't fall down
So I will stand
With my head held high
Even though I'm up against the wind
Stand
And I know I will survive
It is my destiny
oh
I will stand
With my head held high
Oh oh oh oh
Stand
Even though I'm up against the wind
Stand
And I know I will survive
It is my destiny
Oh
Stand
With my head held high
Oh
Stand
In my life
With my head held high
Paid the price
Oh oh oh
In my life
Paid the price
With my head held high
Oh oh oh
In my life.I made my own choices
Paid the pricewith my share of losses
But eachtime I only get stronger
And I know I've got the power inside
I will stand with my head held high
Even though I'm up against the wind
Stand
And I know I will survive
It is my destiny
I will stand with my head held high
Even though I'm up against the wind
Stand
And I know I will survive
It is my destiny
So I will stand with my head held high
Even though I'm up against the wind
Stand
And I know I will survive
It is my destiny

I still have a Taylor Dane VHS tape....tell it to my heart...lol...the woman can sing..I have no idea what happened to her career....glad your voice is coming back...I'm sure your students cant wait to have you back....so many teachers lack humor....I can count on one hand the ones that actually kept me awake...lol

You seem to be in a very good mood, especially for a sick person.  Maybe it's just the combination of the drugs and delerium?

Hope you feel all better soon!
