People Who Inspire Me!

I'm "loopy" because I'm still on meds for my pain. I am looking at a birthday present I received from my cousin who is in her Jr.  year of college. She made me gifts that touched my heart & made me feel soooo LOVED! The one I am looking at is a silver frame which holds drawings of hearts & stars & words of inspiration! I would like to share with you my cousin's inspiring thoughts to me, in hopes they may inspire others who read this journal.....

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet,
enough sorrow to make you human,
enough trials to make you strong,
enough hope to make you happy... (around the border!)

Some peopole walk in the rain, others just get wet...

It is almost impossible to watch a sunset and not dream

You only live once, but if you live it right, once is enough

Some days your the windshield, some days you're the bug

Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bar feet
and the winds long to play with your hair

We can not direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails

Life is truly a ride. We're all strapped in, and no one can stop it
as you make your way from youth to adulthood to maturity.
Sometimes you put your arms up and scream;
sometimes you just hang onto the bar in front of you
but the ride is the thing.
I think the most you can hope for at the end of life
is that your hair is messed up, you're out of breath, and you didn't throw up.

If everything had a point...the world would be too sharp...

Dreams permit each and every one of us to be
quietly and safely insane every night of our lives

I don't believe that life is suppose to make you feel good
or to make you feel miserable either.
Life is just supposed to make you feel.

I think laughter may be a form of courage.
As humans we sometimes stand tall and look into the sun and laugh,
and I think we are never morebrave than when we do that

Sorry I don't have any credits for each of these, but perhaps some of you will know. You can add some of your favorites also! :-)

These are so wonderful & help so very much!

I also watched "House" on Fox
http://www.fox.com/house/ for the first time Tuesday night! I loved it. It was the Episode with the Senator dying. I found it very inspiring also! Dr. House is described by the producers as having a horrible bedside manner, using unconventional thinking and even borderline antisocial but is well respected for his ability to solve cases other cannot. The first message I liked was when the Senator said he was going to run for President. Dr. House tells the Senator, why run you won't win. The Senator says, "Oh I see, you only run because you expect to win all the time". JUST AWESOME!!! YES! You make a difference just by running!

In the middle of the show another doctor tells Dr. House "Thank You" and he is not very accepting. She says, "Why do people pray to God or thank him? Not because they feel they have to but because it makes them feel good to do so." Dr. House replies "most people pray to God because they feel they will be crushed like bugs by him." This was quite interesting to think about!

Then later this same colleague tells Dr. House she thought he was rough with others because it made them better/stronger. She says now I understand...it is because YOU ARE RIGHT! Loved that one! Interesting on if you are right the politics you still have to play. Be nice & humble or others do not value your findings or results as much. Not saying one should not strive to be nice but we all have our own perspective on how others should behave. It always amazes me what others get away with saying that I could not. Some have told me it is because I am too nice & then when I'm not it is perceived so much worse than others. Interesting!
